About 5 years ago, my dear sweet husband decided that he wanted to start doing some woodworking. So of course we went right out to buy the biggest and best woodworking tools. Our garage became even less passable, with little boys toys and now big boys toys. And then came the question, what should be his project? We had never had a real bed frame before and at the moment our bed was resting on cinder blocks in true red neck fashion, so a beautiful maple sleigh bed was decided on. We bought plans and gorgeous slabs of hard maple. He said I'll have it done for our 10
th anniversary (6-1-06) and away he went. He worked hard on it for a while and then life crept in and other things became a priority. I kept hoping that it would happen, I gazed longingly at the wood in the garage. But alas this April rolled around and we found out that we would be moving. What to do with the wood? The woodworking tools were sold so
there was no chance that he would be working on it. So my wonderful husband gave the wood to a carpenter from our church and asked him to finish the bed for us. He did just in time but we still had to stain and seal it. We worked very
diligently but failed to complete it before the moving trucks arrived. So then it was set up in our carport here for a while. And, drum roll please...... yesterday we put it together in our room and I SLEPT IN MY BED FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST NIGHT!!! Yeah!!!! So it was only 2 years past the 10
th anniversary but worth ever minute, I LOVE IT! Thank you Joe!

I think you should write a book about your experiences. When I read your blog I can't wait to see what the next page brings. Thank you for sharing this new adventure! Beautiful bed by the way.
