Hooray! We finally have Internet in our house! After much crying and pain we can now get online again! We have only been able to get online before with Joe's work computer and broadband card - and it was very uncooperative - it seemed like you could only get a signal if the planets were aligned right and you were standing on one leg on our balcony singing the national anthem in spanish. So suffice it to say were are thrilled to have a good old dsl connection again. As a matter of fact I am right now elbowing and kicking the boys out of the way to be able to use the computer. So I apologize for the long absence but you can be assured that I will now try to keep te blog updated. This first picture is from our first weekend here in Monterrey. We drove up to the park called Chipinque, on the side of the Sierra Madre Mountains. It is beautiful up there, very green with some REAL trees (as opposed to alot of the scrub type trees down in the valley). We took a short hike but it was very hot - in the 100's. So we didn't last long.
This is a picture of our carport - it is so full of boxes that you can hardly get in the house - perfect security system! Just this last week we have been slowly getting rid of the boxes - we have garbage day 3 times a week here!
This is a picture of what it has been doing most every day for the last 2 weeks! We have had torrential rain, even more than is normal for their rainy season. And because this is all city (read all concrete) there is no place for all the water to go. Plus it rains really hard and fast , faster than the few drains can seem to handle the water. This means terrific water puddles or perhaps I should say small lakes form every time it rains. The boys have had a wonderful playing in the puddles and we even went out for a drive one evening do drive through some of the huge puddles.

YEAH!!! What an oasis in a dry and weary land of not hearing from you!!! I am SO happy to see pictures and get a small glimpse of how you guys are doing. Thank you for sacrificing your life (by putting yourself between the boys and the computer) to post on the blog, it was well worth it!! I love you!! Molly
