Zucchinis Coming Out Our Ears

Yikes! Who knew zucchinis were so prolific? I have never in my life been so sick of something. I am afraid to send the boys outside in the morrning for fear that they will bring in more zucchini. As we speak I have 20 cups of shredded zucchini in my freezer along with 2 loaves of zucchini bread. We also have the 4 zucchini from the picture on the counter. Now tell me, what should I do with all this? I have tried numerous zucchin recipes, none of which have been anything special. Surely someone could come up with an alternative fuel using zucchinis, I could supply the whole neighborhood! And did you notice the size of two of those zucchini, they are huge!
And if my zucchini problem isn't BIG enough, if you look behind the boys you can see the tomato TREES that are growing. They are much to big to just be called bushes now and they are loaded with little green tomatoes just waiting to be born! I'm going to have to learn to can tomatoes I think. This gardening business has certainly been a learning experience for me. Next year I will be planting NO zucchins! (I will probably still have some left in the freezer!)
In the meantime, anyone need an green organic doorstop or two?

I'm afraid the zucchini lesson is one that we all must learn ourselves...the hard way. (Now you know why friends and co-workers are so darn generous with them!!)

So hysterical! Too bad there wasn't some great recipe out there that requires mass quantities of Zucchini and Tomatoes! You have quite the gift! There must be something in the water, considering the growth in Anthony's mohawk - and since there was not even a mention of that, I have to wonder what else you are growing like crazy? Molly

Funny how natural the boys look with Zucchini's growing out their ears. Anthony and Zacky are learning great things about growing your own food, along with getting to play in the mud and examine all the little crawly creatures.
