Happy First Birthday Zoe!

We had the honor of celebrating my precious niece's first birthday with her this Memorial Day weekend. We were all up at my parent's cottage on the beautiful Torch Lake. The boys had a great time playing with their cousin and loving on her. I was just thrilled to be able to hold her and cuddle with her. She has a smile to melt your heart.
Anyways, for her birthday Molly made a gorgeous Barbie doll cake - one every girl would love. And to top it off it tasted great too! We made homemade vanilla ice cream - YUM. Zoe wasn't so sure of what to do with the cake but she loved the Barbie (we lovingly named it amputee Barbie because she had no legs.) Zoe also loved the ice cream. She did very well opening her presents, with a little help from her cousins of course! She got a book, a puzzle, a sand bucket, and a tube to float in icy Torch Lake.
Also while we were up north we tiled the bathroom and laundry room. What a huge undertaking, but it looks great! We are not going to be able to call it a cottage much longer - that will be much too humble of a title - it will be the lake house.
Well, I should go the laundry, dishes, and clean up that comes with returning from vacation are calling me!

Looks like you had a great time. I am a little....well a lot.....jealous! But I am glad you were able to spend so much time with little Zoe. She is precious!
Jen, you failed to mention all the dirty socks that I found tucked in every corner of the cottage. How is it that they are all dirty? I can't believe they could even have worn that many socks. But, oh well, those bare feet are what I love and are still kissable to me.
