Torch Lake

We got back from camp on Friday and dumped all of our stinky, dirty clothes into a gigantic mountain in our laundry room. I wasn't sure that I would be able to find my way through to the washing machine. But with a deep breath and a prayer, I plunged forward into the room and began washing. I then loaded the boys back into the car to go to the grocery store. We stocked up on all the stuff we needed for the next week. Back at home, I continued to shovel more laundry into the machine. The next morning I began the monumental task of folding all the freshly clean clothes, then we packed them all BACK into our suitcases and headed up north with my parents.
Our week at Torch Lake was beautiful. The weather was great for being on the water. Grammie and the boys picked a bushel of raspberries and cherries, I think we made 3 pies while we were there. The boys took lots of jet ski rides and they were able to get windsurfing lessons from our neighbor. They picked it up very easily and will be experts in no time I'm sure!
For all of you who know Grandpa Bob, you will truly appreciate the last picture. My dad must have literally hundreds of Torch Lake sunset pictures (we've been going up there for almost 30 years). When Anthony decided he needed to take a picture of the sunset on his camera, Grandpa couldn't handle Anthony having a sunset picture that he didn't. So the picture of them both taking a picture is PRICELESS!
Now we are back from all of our travels. We will be stuck hanging around home for most of the summer, taking care of my garden and eating all the zucchini! We came home to about 6 zucchinis ready to be picked and since then have picked at least 5 more! Anyone have any good zucchini recipes?

What great pictures! The last one truly is Priceless!! I think I have seen about 100 of the millions of sunsets Bob has taken!
It must be nice to have a cottage that a family can enjoy! I am a little jealous!

Torch Lake is a beautiful setting, but the real treasure is being together with loved ones making memories that will be our legacy (we may throw a few dollars in too!). Just as Joe commented many times while we were there, the boys have become a terrific help in everything from pouring concrete to making pies. They truely are amazing little guys thanks to their parents who serve the Living King.
